The ranch is located in the southern end of the Black Hills of South Dakota. It is in the heart of elk country! It consists of rolling hills covered with Ponderosa pine, scrub cedar, and a few areas with cottonwood trees plus grassy meadows. There are box canyons, deep draws and many rocky outcroppings which give the buffalo, elk, whitetail deer and mule deer innumerable places to find protection and escape hunting pressure. It can be negotiated by almost any level or age of hunter, all hunts are done on foot (unless specified prior) in a spot and stalk. So bring your hunting/walking boots.

Information on Activities Around Ranch

What else is there to do around Stonemeadow ranch? Hiking and horseback riding are available near the ranch. South Dakota also has seasonal fishing phesant and turkey hunting, and there's excellent whitetail and mule deer hunting near ranch. Tours are also available! We are minutes away from
 Jewel Cave, Wind Cave Park, and Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park  and a number of other attractions.
